Get 2015 started right!

As we move into the new year, I am always a big believer in setting goals for every area of life (I set them for these following categories - Career, Income, Health/Fitness, Personal, Family/Relationships, Education, Fun/Adventure). Not so much new years resolutions but real solid goals and actions that I keep in the front of my mind for the entire year. An even easier way to think about it (if you prefer to keep things simple) and plan goals (which comes from the 4-hour work week - a great book if you haven't read it!) is like this: What do you want to…

Have:

You could set these as 3, 6, 9 and 12 month goals. (BUT… Make sure you make them S.M.A.R.T!)

Two of the keys to success (in achieving any goal) which I speak a lot about with my coaching clients are “raise your standard” and “take massive intelligent action!” To achieve any goal, we must be 100% commitment (not 99% or less!) and take massive intelligent action to make our dreams become reality.

 

Raise Your Standard

Anything less than 100% commitment to your goals it not good enough. This is quite possibly why we fail so often at achieving our goals, because we are not fully committed to them. Now there are some things that you may need to do in order to get fully committed, perhaps you can use these questions to determine how committed you are or what’s stopping you from playing at 100%.

  •  Do I want to achieve this goal for myself or for someone else? (FYI - It needs to be for you, YOU have to WANT it for YOU!)
  •  What is causing the % that keeps you away from 100? (This will identify some of the barriers holding you back) (P.S. A coach can help you overcome these)
  •  In order to play at 100%, what needs to happen? (Are you taking responsibility or waiting for something to happen which is out of your control?)

Every day is another day to get up, venture into the world, and make a difference. Our difference. Whether that difference is to conquer a personal demon, or to  make a difference in somebody's life, or make the world a better place. It's our story that we write each day!

 I encourage you to follow your soul, going after the things that make you happy and get you excited. I believe we were put here to grow, learn, evolve and become the best damn version of ourselves! We are all unique, beautiful, powerful and deserve to live a self fulfilling life. Be brave, be bold and dare to be YOU!

How I Got Here?

I get asked a lot within the fitness industry by instructors and trainers how I got to where I am now? There is a lot that has gone into being where I AM right now, but I am guessing the reference is more towards becoming an international trainer/presenter/consultant traveling the globe developing peeps and teaching master classes for Judy King Fitness, Les Mills, TRX, Twist Sports Conditioning and now most recently, Life Fitness. So allow me share..
